Craig and Jessica October 2006

"Whenever life seems to drift you away from me, I can't help but cry. You've grown to be such a part of me that without you life is no more than a desperate sigh. They do say love comes and goes, and to that I disagree. So, here's my hand, take it and don't let go of me."

"A rainbow reflection on the window that frames the world I look onto day after day.
here in this office -waiting on the clock to strike that moment when I can go home to the face I long to see."

Well here it is folks, I have succumb to the alluring Blog. I had stayed away for so long, but the time has come to publish regular updates so that I can stay in contact with the people that i can't see as often as i'd like to.
Since I've been home from Russia my life has changed alot. slowed down a little in some ways and really sped up in others.
so maybe you're wondering what HAS happened since Russia. Well, heres the update!

When I got home it was an interesting ease back into life in Canada - but it was good to get back to work. I was an out of school care supervisor for a few months and also worked at starbucks for a while.

a week before my 19th birthday I went to the Foggy Dew with Frances and that's where my world was shaken and I met Craig Pritchard. I knew when we first made eye contact across the room that something was different and something was in his eyes that I needed more of. And so it was that after we talked on the patio for at least an hour, he took my number and said he would call me - and to my joyful relief , he did!
3 days later, we met and had steamed milk and from then on were inseparable.
One week later it was my 19th birthday and that night he told me that he was falling in love, and I knew that I loved him too. So its pretty simple to say that Finding the love that i had always dreamed about as a little girl had finally found me - THAT was an amazing birthday present that i really didn't think i would be so blessed to find.

we went on a trip to Seattle with Chad and Danielle and had a REALLY great time! And the very next day we got home from that trip, we went up to Nelson to visit Josh (Craig's cousin ) and Cat (josh's girl friend)... We had a GREAT time there too.
we brought home a little husky puppy named Nelly.

As my parents planned to move to Surrey, Craig and I hated the idea of me moving away to surrey more and more as the reality of it came closer and closer. so in the hallway at my parents old house, Craig asked me if I would move in with him - and I said yes, I couldn't imagine not being able to see him every day. since we had been spoiled to live Right across the street from eachother, we had never had distance seperating us and were used to always having one another just around the corner.

In the summer I worked at a community centre for kids camps, and when it was over I started working in the office as an attendant at the ice rinks here in Richmond.
September was also the month that Craig and I moved into our new home!
the location was perfect because it was across the street from where we both already lived...So it didn't take long to move our things and we still are close to Ann and Ian. (craigs parents)

we painted all the walls within 2 weeks, and quickly made ourselves comfortable in this new space for us to share together. Craig brought with him Butternut - a prissy little cat who doesn't show much affection for me.
It was a tough decision, but we decided it would be best for Nelly to have new parents because we couldn't give her the time and attention she needed since we both worked.
so to help us heal We got a new kitten named Peter who is a crazy little cat-man that constantly has us both laughing and waiting on him to do something else thats just so precious - like playing with bubbles in the tub, or something not so precious like climbing the window screens like a crack-cat. We love our little babies though! Oh boy.

Tyler (my brother) moved to Saskatoon with his girl friend Lori and lives a block away from my aunt - which is nice for him to be close to family still. My parents are enjoying their new home in surrey and my mom is doing really well with her snow candle company.

oh yeah! and we had a great time decorating our halloween ginger bread house..... but now that halloween is over.....Christmas is coming!

so life is good, smile a little, laugh a lot.
